The two typedesign-workshops held at HFG Karlsruhe in collaboration with Ludovic Varone and Philipp Herrmann meant to teach the students a systematic approach to develop headline typefaces. In addition to theoretical and software lessons so called quick-type exercises were accomplished by the students to loosen up and achieve the knowledge of coherence between tool and form in an immediate, experimental way. Finally the typefaces were presented on screen-printed specimen posters. The complete documentation is available in a printed version.
